- A 3-ply is a layer of Aluminum sandwiched between two layers of Stainlesssteel.Theinner steel is comprised of higher food grade steel where as outer steel comprised of magnetic stainlesssteel.
- The inner layer of steel is thinner so as to provide almost equal conductivity as that of aluminum where as providing the food grade quality of stainlesssteel.As aluminum is better conductor of heat but more soluble inorganic acids present in food there by dissolving in food and it is harmful for humanbody where as stainlesssteel is relatively inert to organic acids present in the food but it is less conductive compared to aluminum.
- Outer layer is thicker and comprised of magnetic steel rendering it to be usable with induction and microwaves devices further thicker coating ensures maintaining uniform heating and constant heat container for underlying aluminum layers so as to transmit uniform heat tocook the food even a cross the corners.
- The same reasonal so applies when frying something in oil as it provide uniform heating to all oil molecules in the container thus preventing the burning of oil resulting in less consumption of oil during frying.
